Aberdeen's 47th Annual Christmas Street Celebration 

 

The City of Aberdeen, along with many not-for-profit and business partners, provide a day of holiday festivities on the first Saturday in December each year. Below, you will find an outline of activities you can choose to partake in. 

 

Activities for Friday December 6th and Saturday December 7th. 2024: 

 

Friday December 6th, 2024 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.: Harford holidays at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium 873 Long Drive, Aberdeen, Maryland 21001. The baseball stadium will have wonderful activities, creating new memories for all, including a series of festive light displays, a s'more's making station sleigh rides, a vendor village, Santa's workshop, Mrs. Claus's story time, and more! 

 

Friday December 6, 2024 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.: Festival of Trees: Location TB3 event Center at 2033 W Bel Air Avenue. The Festival of Trees will feature a public showing of the trees and wreaths that have been entered. There will be food and beverages available for purchase. All proceeds benefit the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Foundation. Please consider a donation to view the Festival of Trees. 

 

Saturday, December 7th 2024: 

7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m at Grace United Methodist Church at 110 W Bel Air Avenue: breakfast with Santa tickets are available at the door! Grace UMC Link https://www.graceumchurch.org/

 

Saturday, December 7th 2024 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Aberdeen fire Department at 8 N Rogers Street. This annual craft vendor Fair is available for everyone to buy their unique and handmade Christmas gifts, with food available to purchase. Home Page - current - St. Paul's Lutheran Church https://www.growwithjesus.org/

 

December 7th 2024 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.: location TB3 event Center at 203 W Bel Air Avenue. The Festival of Trees, bid or purchase for trees and decorated wreaths. Pickup is between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.. Festival of Trees | AberdeenCoC https://www.aberdeencc.org/festival-of-trees

 

December 7th 2024 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Location: Aberdeen Historical Museum at 18 Howard Street: live music, local history, refreshments, and other activities. Aberdeen Historical Museum https://www.aberdeenmuseum.org/

 

December 7th 2024 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Aberdeen Activity Center, 7 Franklin Street. Santa and crafts! Take your opportunity to write your letter to Santa and hand it to him personally. There will be kids crafts and you can choose to view some beautifully decorated gingerbread houses. This event closes at 2:00 p.m. and will reopen after the Christmas street parade. 

 

December 7th 2024 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Christmas Street Parade. The parade stretches from Law Street on W Bel Air Avenue all the way down to Howard Street where it turns and goes up Howard Street to Franklin Street. All are welcome along the parade route. 

 

December 7th 2024 at 5:00 p.m.: Christmas Tree Lighting! Join us in lighting our 35-ft Christmas tree and stroll the park to see the beautiful light displays at Aberdeen's Festival Park. The closest address is 60 N Parke Street, Aberdeen, Maryland 21001. 

 

December 7th 2024 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.: Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Aberdeen Activity Center at 7 Franklin Street. This will be the last chance during the Christmas Street festivities to see Santa and Mrs. Claus. 

 

December 7th 2024 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.: Harford holidays at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium. The ballpark will feature wonderful activities creating new memories for all. Festive light displays, s'mores making station, sleigh Rides, vendor village, Santa's workshop, Mrs. Claus story Time and more! Ripken Events https://www.aberdeenmuseum.org/

 

December 7th 2024 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 201 Mount Royal avenue. Charlie Zahm concert. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with refreshments.
